I would LOVE to have Dr Rogers come on a regular basis if that ever becomes a possibility. She is so skilled at working with parents in antiracism work. That is such a hard skill. I imagine we could all learn so much if she continued to come. She could build on the topic of discussing race with children and parenting in an antiracist way. That is needed in order to live—not just intellectually absorb—the values our school teaches...Dr. Rogers made the biggest breakthrough for me in a matter of 60 minutes. Thank you for bringing her!

It was clear, structure, informative and allowed for interaction when needed. Very engaging

I appreciated that Dr. Rogers made a point of emphasizing how important it is that we, as future physicians, understand the impact of trauma, and the need for physicians that can competently screen for and address trauma.

I believe Dr. Rogers is an excellent presenter and definitely delivers things in a way that is very digestible for students. She understands how students feel in a practical, non-ideological manner which is very refreshing.

So many parents have been talking together positively about the workshop. It wasn’t just the topic, it was Dr. Rogers specifically. Her combination of skills and demeanor drew hard discussions and reflections that I haven’t discovered about myself in a whole year of antiracism work I’ve been doing.

I enjoyed how Dr. Rogers showed her passion for the subject and how her final presentation integrated all that we have learned since our first meeting.

Dr. Rogers was truly authentic, comfortable, and honest. She was able to deliver information in a way that was compelling, and at times, heavy, but with a healthy and necessary dose of humor. Dr. Rogers was transparent in sharing her experiences with the group which established trust and understanding.

She could literally read a phonebook and I would be interested. She is the most engaging guest speaker we have had, and has a very calming and warm presence.

Absolutely amazing. As previously mentioned her own experiences resonated with a lot of us and helped us to make connections to our own work. I left feeling rejuvenated and equipped with a number of strategies for students and colleagues alike.

She delivered her messages carefully and appropriately. She didn't make anyone feel left out in the room, and her welcomeness was present. She was relatable, and her experience was raw and authenticate.

It was a sensitive topic that elicits strong emotional response from people and that seems to have been politicized in our society. Dr. Rogers made me feel more comfortable discussing the topic and focused on concrete things that we can do to treat others more humanely and to respond in a positive way when facing situations where I might fall back on assumptions or feel like there's nothing I can do.

I loved the fact that it was so personal but didn't pressure anyone to share their experience. I haven't felt that sense of intimate community over zoom in a really long time, maybe ever.

Dr. Rogers did an outstanding job of guiding the group through self-reflection and discussion, with honesty and directness, while also creating a safe space for participants to share their experiences openly and frankly. That's no easy task -- but I think it was enormously valuable, and a process our community ought to engage with on an ongoing basis.

Dr. Rogers was extremely effective in her presentation. The content on Social and Emotional intelligence was clear and easy to follow. She gave examples of each point she expounded on. She also had great interactive activities during the "communication and culture" questionnaire exercise that made for, not only interesting and educational conversations, but deep self-awareness, insight, and revelation.

The most effective parts of this conference were the speaker, Dr. Rogers, her organized presentation, sharing her experiences, explanations and the group activities.

Dr. Rogers does a great job of not only explaining concepts, but defining actions one can take to implement those concepts into everyday life. I really enjoyed this presentation. The historical preface was helpful as well.
